Job Summary
Campus Visit Intern within the Campus Experience Team supports the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by leading the Student Assistant team, coordinating campus visits and events, managing inventory and supplies, and enhancing the campus visitor experience at the Welcome Center. Responsibilities include leading kickoff meetings for the student assistant team, coaching and mentoring, organizing procedures and schedules in OneNote and Teams, training assistants to use Slate and respond to inquiries, supporting Live Chat outreach, overseeing event materials and displays, and collaborating with the Campus Experience Manager and other interns on ambassador trainings and day-of event support. The role requires hosting high-impact campus tours, supporting group visits, serving as liaison between ambassadors and professional staff, maintaining office and Welcome Center supplies, and ensuring readiness for key Admission events. Must be a current Dominican University student, available for a full-term internship, and able to work nights and weekends; Spanish proficiency is a preferred asset.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current student at Dominican University
- Must be eligible for US employment
- Must be able to work full term (Fall-to-Spring)
- Must be able to work nights and weekends and attend all 6 major Admission events: Discover DU and Admitted Student Day
- Preferred proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
- Experience in event planning, hospitality, and high-quality customer service
- Excellent written and verbal skills, organizational skills, attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn department technology
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Dominican University and the student body
- Demonstrated commitment to Undergraduate Admissions mission
