Campus Technician / Help Desk - District Wide

Job Summary
Troubleshoot technical problems, resolve customer issues related to hardware, software, and networking, and answer Help Desk calls to diagnose technical issues over the phone. Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware; create network accounts for students and staff; and maintain the technology inventory. Perform periodic maintenance, modifications, and repairs to computer systems and equipment, including structured cabling and network testing. Document support interactions in a customer database, escalate unresolved issues, and review system logs to identify security incidents or performance problems. Guide users in proper technology use and provide training sessions to faculty and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience with Windows workstations
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must possess ability to work with and communicate with faculty, staff, and vendors
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces, i.e., trenches, attics, equipment rooms, etc.
- Must be able to sit approximately 75% of the time
- Must be able to walk and stand approximately 20% of the time
- Must be able to kneel/stoop approximately 5% of the time
- Must be able to lift on a regular basis 30-50lbs
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception

Desired Qualifications
- A+ certification in Computer Technology
- Associates degree or equivalent technical training / certifications or two years of related experience
