Job Summary
Brigham Young University seeks a part-time Campus Survivor Advocate/Confidential Advisor to support survivors of sexual misconduct, requiring a master's degree in mental health counseling, relevant licensure, and 3 years of counseling experience.
Required Qualifications
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Master’s degree in mental health counseling or related field with appropriate licensure
- Three years of therapy/counseling experience, including two years providing direct service and crisis intervention to survivors of sexual assault
- Utah State Certified Survivor Advocate (40 hour trained), Certified Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor or equivalent or willingness to receive training
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of available campus, community and national resources and services for survivors of sexual assault
- Knowledge of current literature related to campus sexual misconduct and federal regulations on campus sexual assault such as Title IX regulations and the Clery Act
Additional Requirements
- Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend
