Job Summary
Campus Store Manager responsible for directing Union College's on-campus and seasonal Union Spirit Shop retail and textbook operations, partnering with the VP for Communications and Marketing and the CMO to modernize and optimize merchandising, brand stewardship, and profitability. Oversees staffing of full-time and student workers, drives strategic planning for store operations, and enhances Union’s retail and textbook sales performance while maintaining a strong Union brand presence. Key duties include merchandising improvements, staff planning, budgeting, and coordinating with executive leadership to realize the full potential of campus retail, with emphasis on collaboration, marketing alignment, and weekend/evening availability.
Required Qualifications
- Seven (7) years of full-time retail or merchandising experience, including supervisory experience
- College/university retail experience and/or bookselling experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of fashion/merchandising trends
- Demonstrated success increasing sales in a retail setting
- Experience in budgeting
- Outstanding communications and marketing skills
- Collaborative and team-oriented working style
- Willingness and availability to occasionally work on weekends and evenings
