Job Summary
Campus Staff Minister develops witnessing communities among graduate students and faculty on college campuses, leads Vision and program development to transform campuses through gospel-centered ministry, and partners with students, faculty, alumni, and churches to resource ministry efforts. Responsibilities include pursuing spiritual growth and discipleship, increasing campus leadership and growth of witnessing communities, aligning ministry plans and programs with InterVarsity’s vision, supervising ministry interns, and cultivating strategic partnerships to raise 100% of the financial budget. The role emphasizes developing strategic plans, mobilizing relational networks for gospel engagement, and equipping students and faculty to start new witnessing communities, all while modeling InterVarsity’s Core Values and ensuring diverse ethnic and cultural inclusion. Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to travel, and commitment to InterVarsity’s doctrinal basis and purpose statements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a four-year campus.
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a two-year campus or a community college
- Strong interpersonal skills (including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software
