Campus Safety & Security Officer

Patrol School property, including problematic areas, checking doors, gates, and entry points to ensure unauthorized persons have not gained entry. Respond immediately to all emergency calls, including fire, medical, and burglar alarms, while answering service requests in a professional manner. Investigate incidents involving students, faculty, and staff, reporting results to the Director of Safety and Security. Assist law enforcement, EMS, and fire personnel with responses, and provide crossing guard services for pedestrians. Check campus fire protection equipment regularly and inspect buildings for compliance with state and local fire regulations. Monitor property for safety hazards, submitting work orders for repairs when needed. Maintain a complete log for each tour of duty, registering all activity and unusual conditions discovered. Cover assigned security details at school-sponsored functions and enforce school safety rules and regulations.
