Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive safety and security services on the SNHU campus and remote properties through active patrols on foot, bicycle, or marked vehicle. Respond to calls for service including escorts, motor vehicle assists, and medical emergencies, while investigating incidents involving assault and submitting accurate reports. Manage traffic flow, enforce parking regulations, and direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic at properties. Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel as the university's first responder to criminal incidents, fires, and other emergencies. Perform fire safety inspections, conduct drills, and oversee daily operations in the absence of a shift supervisor. Complete daily shift reports and monitor security cameras and access control systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED as prescribed by the New Hampshire Department of Education
- Two or more years of related experience
- Eligible to work in the United States and be 21 years of age or older
- Must have and maintain a valid State of New Hampshire Driver's license with a good driving record
- No criminal record or convictions for misdemeanors or felony offenses
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Maintain certification in responding to emergencies and automated external defibrillator, CPR, Narcan, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed
- Willing to train if needed
- Required to report to work or remain on duty during emergency closures or modified operations, such as severe weather
