Job Summary
Campus Principal (ACHS-King Street Campus) leads the assigned Alexandria City High School campus, oversees campus operations, instructional programming, MTSS, academy structures, student support, safety, and family/community engagement; collaborates with central office, campus principals, and staff to ensure a high-performing, equitable learning environment; responsible for supervising campus administrators and staff, aligning with SIP, and guiding school-wide events and partnerships; requires a Master's in Educational Leadership, VDOE Administration and Supervision endorsement, active Virginia license, and 3–5 years of relevant administrative experience; 12-month exempt administrative role with placement on the LAS-FA salary scale.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field
- Active Virginia Department of Education license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision (PreK-12) or eligible to submit licensure upon hire
- Adminstration & Supervision endorsement not standalone
- Three to five years of school-based administrative experience (high school preferred)
- Experience leading large-scale school operations, MTSS, academy structures, and student support systems
- Knowledge of SIP, data-informed practices, and culturally responsive leadership
- Ability to supervise and coordinate administrators and staff across campus
- Experience with family engagement, school climate initiatives, and safety procedures
- 12-month administrative position
- Placement on the Administrator LAS-FA grade per ACPS salary scale
