Job Summary
The Campus Prevention Educator at Vera House, Inc. will deliver prevention education and training to campus personnel and community victim service providers. This role requires building positive relationships with community members, managing client situations, and supporting the Campus Project Coordinator.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Public Health or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1 year of relative work experience
- Access to reliable transportation
- Completion of a satisfactory background check
Desired Qualifications
- Strong training and facilitation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of community-based service systems and the criminal and civil justice systems
- Adaptability to demanding situations and working well under pressure
- Capability to develop a positive, compassionate rapport with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other violent trauma
- Skill to provide trauma informed services and knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
