Job Summary
The Campus Police Officer promotes Marian University's Catholic mission and identity by ensuring justice and maintaining the dignity of individuals while guarding the peace and tranquility of the University. Responsibilities include enforcing local, state, and federal laws, complying with University rules and policies, engaging in the Catholic Franciscan mission, and participating in departmental goal setting. Candidates must fulfill specific training and certification requirements and are expected to manage their work hours responsibly to meet service needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Complete 16-week Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Training
- Maintain certification and attend a minimum of 24 hours annual in-service training
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
