Campus Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Manage student-facing campus accounting and operations functions, including billing, collections, disbursements, and payment transactions for tuition, fees, and campus store purchases. Process wire transfers, EFTs, and automatic credit card payments while advising students and parents on payment plans, outstanding balances, and refunds. Assist with New Student Orientation and Registration events, conduct campus store inventory counts, and perform cash counts, drawer reconciliations, and bank deposits. Maintain TechForce and petty cash funds, create refund batches, and disburse relocation grants and student checks. Ensure student accounts are current by generating invoices, past due notices, and reviewing academic standing reports.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to safely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential
  • Ability to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates essential functions of the position

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • 1-3 year's previous experience; preferably in an institution of higher education or in a customer service industry
  • Some accounting and/or general ledger experience
  • Attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality and professional decorum
  • Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form with a diverse customer base in a welcoming and friendly manner
  • Possess excellent customer service, problem-solving and time management
  • Knowledge of accounts receivables and collections
  • Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Ability to communicate, think, learn, and reason
  • Ability to use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasks
  • Ability to demonstrate and utilize active listening, inductive reasoning, information ordering and category flexibility
  • Ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to foster long-term relationships with stakeholders
