Job Summary
Provide comprehensive cleaning and housekeeping services to maintain hygiene and appearance standards. Responsibilities include daily trash disposal, cleaning wash basins, mirrors, commodes, bathrooms, and public areas. Duties involve operating mechanized cleaning equipment, damp dusting, and reporting maintenance issues. Candidates should have knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment operation, along with good interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of cleaning methods and materials
- Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers
- Driver’s License required
Desired Qualifications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with faculty, staff and students
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Additional Requirements
- Requires working in damp, dusty and dirty areas
- Must clean up human waste and other body fluids as required
- Position calls for the individual to become a member of Local 32B-32J
- Proper uniform attire is required
- Be willing to work overtime and/or change shifts when needed
