Job Summary
Encourage spiritual growth among international students, scholars, and families by building relationships, hosting cultural events, and leading Bible discussions. Connect with student associations to mobilize volunteers for the campus ministry team and pursue creative strategies for culture-specific outreach initiatives. Work with local churches to serve thousands of international students across Houston, Rice, and the University of Houston. Requires living near the assigned campus, occasional evening and weekend availability, and attendance at annual staff retreats.
Required Qualifications
- Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum one-year involvement in campus ministry or completion of IFI ISEED Program
- Requires the candidate to live near the campus on which they will be serving
- Occasional evenings and weekends required for specific events/projects
- Attendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff Retreats
Desired Qualifications
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and enjoys working with people
- Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
