Job Summary
Campus Manager directs and supervises daily operations of the Head Start campus, ensuring compliance with HCDE policies, Head Start Program Performance Standards, and local, state, and federal regulations. Leads staff, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and community partners, maintains confidentiality and professional conduct, oversees safety and facility maintenance, and ensures timely completion of screening, assessments, monitoring, enrollment, and documentation. Responsible for budgeting, classroom instruction support, resource provision for staff, CACFP records, and maintaining Head Start databases and monitoring reports. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, CLASS certification with annual recertification, proficiency in child screening/assessment tools, five years of relevant experience, and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field
- Must complete training and obtain certification in Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and recertify annually
- Must demonstrate proficiency annually in the child screening and assessment tools
- Ability to meet the required director qualifications as stated in the Minimum Standards for Child Day Care Operations by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
- Advanced knowledge of early childhood education and child development best practices as identified by the National Association for the Education of Young Children
- Experience as a childcare director or manager preferred
- Minimum of five years teaching and/or administrative experience in a child development center or Head Start program
