Job Summary
Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and specifications while engaging students, faculty, and staff in the mission. Stock and replenish pizza, salad, and deli stations with fresh ingredients; cook, assemble, and serve food while maintaining presentation and quality standards. Clean and sanitize workstations, cooking utensils, and equipment; follow proper food safety, sanitation, and portion control procedures. Coordinate effectively with the kitchen team, follow the direction of the Culinary Lead, and alert them of any workplace issues or operational concerns. Provide friendly, professional customer service to students, faculty, and staff in a higher education setting. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of food service or customer service experience in a medium- to high-volume food service operation or restaurant
- Must be flexible and team-oriented
- Punctual and able to adhere to attendance and scheduling requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs as needed
- Must be able to work in a school environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preparing or serving pizza, salads, deli items, or similar made-to-order food is preferred
