Job Summary
Conduct daily site visits to observe school food service operations, including kitchen facilities, National School Lunch Program compliance, and student engagement. Manage food service leads at assigned schools through weekly check-ins and proactively communicate performance feedback to the management team. Fill in for food servers during absences and immediately report culinary or operational issues requiring attention. Train school-based staff on standardized policies, including clocking procedures, FIFO practices, physical inventory, and production records. Collaborate with culinary and operations leads to develop creative, school-specific solutions for service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of management experience in high-volume hospitality, food service, or a similar environment
- Previous experience in a leadership role with exposure to catering, customer service, people development, food services, etc
- Basic cooking and baking knowledge
- Expert client relationship, influencing, presentation, listening, and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Champions the inclusion mindset
- Is proactive, positive, professional, flexible, and resilient
- Demonstrates initiative, ownership, multitasking, prioritization, and organization skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and other computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Strongly prefer fluency in English and Spanish
- Strong desire to learn and develop management skills
- ServSafe certification is a plus
