Job Summary
Manage, plan, and implement comprehensive pre- and post-licensure nursing programs, including graduate level offerings, while ensuring compliance with programmatic accreditation and licensure standards. Lead programmatic budget preparation, fiscal administration, and curriculum assessment, including the determination of teaching assignments and supervision of faculty. Provide professional leadership and mentorship for teaching faculty, fostering an environment that supports creativity and responsiveness. If approved by the CA Board of Nursing as an Assistant Program Director, assume program director responsibility for California campuses. Requires a Master's degree, current unencumbered RN license, and at least two years of teaching experience in nursing programs. Salary range is $154,839.90 - $224,555.45 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence
- Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services
- Knowledge and evidence of strong leadership, supervisory and management skills as applicable to specialized program area
- Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) or other nursing accrediting agencies, e.g., CCNE, WSCUC, and other accreditation standards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, without need of significant support staff
- Experience with MS Office
- Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information, reports and projections
- Minimum of one year's experience in an administrative position
- Minimum of two year's prior experience teaching in pre- or post-licensure registered nursing programs
- At least one year's experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care or equivalent experience and/or education, as determined by the Board of Registered Nursing
- Master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university, which includes course work in nursing, education or administration
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License
- Approval by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) as Assistant Program Director prior to assuming the role of Campus Director of Nursing
