Job Summary
Provide supervision around campus to ensure compliance with school protocols for the safety and wellbeing of all students. Monitor occupancy in the library during early morning hours, assist with Carpool during arrival and dismissal, and supervise study hall, lunch, and recess. Help cover classes if needed and perform other duties around campus as assigned. Work Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM plus overtime as needed. This role supports an orderly learning environment at The Buckley School, a leading K–12 independent school in the San Fernando Valley, fostering a nurturing community dedicated to equity, inclusion, and the holistic development of students.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday
- Demonstrates adaptability, dependability, good judgment, strong social skills, assess and make wise decisions
- Demonstrates strong communication skills in person, in writing, by phone, and through other electronic means (such as Zoom)
- Knowledge of Google Drive (Sheets and Docs), Blackbaud/Education Edge, and the ability to learn new and evolving technology
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with primary, elementary, middle and/or upper students
- Warm, kind, supportive yet firm manner
- Ability to connect with Middle and Upper School students
- Relishes the joys and challenges of working with students and possesses a deep understanding of the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of children
