Job Summary
Manage daily office functions including room scheduling, supply purchasing, facility logistics, and administrative support for the campus team. Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals seeking connection with the church and systematically guide new volunteers through onboarding workflows, background checks, and safety training. Oversee campus data systems, distribute tasks efficiently, and coordinate event setups while collaborating with the janitorial team to maintain environments. Act as the administrative link between the Menlo Park Campus and Central Teams, assisting the Campus Pastor with calendar management, newsletter formatting, and invoice processing. This role operates onsite Sunday-Thursday with occasional evenings, requiring full-time commitment and alignment with Menlo Church's mission to bring hope in the Bay Area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience in administrative field
- Demonstrated administrative experience, preferably in a church or nonprofit organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to clarity, tone, and detail
- Highly proficient in Google Workspace
- Experience coordinating events, schedules, or logistics
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across teams and with congregants
- Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive in identifying needs and solving problems
- Demonstrated alignment with the mission, values, and beliefs of Menlo Church
- Committed to modeling humility, hope, resilience, and teamwork in a collaborative ministry environment
- Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Occasional ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to perform routine movements such as walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and using stairs
- Requires fine motor skills and visual coordination to operate standard office equipment and computer systems
