Job Summary
Greet customers promptly, handle merchandise with care, and provide product information and assistance. Demonstrate products to customers, replenish shelves per guidelines, and restock as required. Maintain pricing accuracy, assist with seasonal floor moves, and keep work areas clean and stocked. Identify customer needs, make product recommendations, and promote programs including Club Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. Operate the Point of Sale register, calculate figures, and make change. Follow all company policies and procedures while maintaining product expertise through ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Must be able to lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Must be able to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more
- Must be able to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
- Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments
- Must be able to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
- Must be able to occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Must be able to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
- Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to occasionally repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
