Job Summary
Assist with campground and camp store operations, including managing reservations, collecting fees, and registering campers. Oversee camp host programs, coordinate events, and supervise seasonal employees through scheduling and training. Maintain retail inventory, manage Point of Sale functions, and handle cash handling and bank deposits. Ensure safety standards are followed, report unsafe conditions, and complete regular facility checks. Greet visitors, handle inquiries, and assist with public relations and social media content. Manage programs and promotions budgets, order supplies, and perform custodial tasks such as restroom and cabin cleaning. Work a variable schedule up to 40 hours per week with health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver's license and must maintain safe driving record
- Must be age 18 or over
- High school diploma and two years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Ability to interpret NOVA Parks rules and regulations and adherence to standards
- Demonstrated supervisory skills
- Ability to deal effectively with the public
- Ability to be flexible in meeting a variety of demands and conditions
- Ability to operate a cash register
- Working knowledge of computers
- Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions
- Ability to perform a variety of duties including custodial tasks
- Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays
- Possession of or ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications
- Required to purchase and wear standard uniform
