Job Summary
Lead and run Skills Clinics for children aged 8-15 during school holidays at Camp Williams in Newark, delivering athletics and activity-based coaching. Responsibilities include organizing age-appropriate activities, coaching and supervising groups, promoting safety, and helping children develop creativity, self-esteem, integrity, respect and collaboration. Willingness to work high-energy, weekday schedules 7:30am–6:00pm, with commitment to whole weeks and potential ongoing hours across academic years. Role based at Camp Williams, Newark (Nottinghamshire) and aligned with YMCA and Nottinghamshire County Council school-holiday programmes. Requires DBS clearance and being over 18; experience in coaching/teaching/leading sports is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Over 18 years of age
- Enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service
- Experience in coaching, teaching, or leading athletics or activities for children
- Ability to engage and supervise children aged 8-15 during activities
- Commitment to working whole weeks during school holidays
