Job Summary
Casual Swim Support Leader needed at YMCA Camp Williams Newark (Newark, Nottinghamshire). Support children during pool sessions as part of a school-holiday program, walking groups to the Leisure Centre, assisting with getting ready, supervising a group of children by ability, and creating safe, engaging pool-based games and activities. Role involves getting in the water with supervision, providing encouragement to reluctant swimmers, and ensuring safeguarding throughout the session (12:00–15:00, Monday–Friday, ~15 hours per week). A YMCA staff t-shirt is provided for visibility. While not required, holding a Swim England Level 2 certificate or prior experience leading similar activities is a bonus, and being a confident, competent swimmer is desirable.
