Job Summary
Year-Round Camp Nurse responsible for providing routine and emergency medical care to campers and staff across all camp and therapeutic recreation programs, including weekend respites, summer camp, travel trips, and special events. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting health-related incidents and treatments, coordinating with families and healthcare providers, overseeing medical supplies and equipment, educating staff on health topics, conducting health screenings, supporting off-site events with medical coverage, and promoting a positive, health-conscious environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Maryland RN or LPN license in good standing
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably with children, individuals with disabilities, or in a camp/community health setting
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and overnights during camp sessions or travel programs
