Job Summary
Camp Maintenance Technician responsible for cleaning and upkeep of Camp Y-Owasco buildings and grounds, with transition to Auburn YMCA when camp not in session. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, cabins, and main lodge; resetting septic system during outages; daily smoke alarm checks; trash removal and securing waste; safety inspections of program areas; adherence to camp safety plan; compliance with YMCA Youth Protection Plan; attendance at required meetings and trainings; and other duties as assigned. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 6+ months cleaning/maintenance experience, be computer literate, and hold CPR certification with ongoing Wilderness First Aid training. Physically capable of traversing uneven terrain and lifting up to 75 pounds; work environment includes indoor/outdoor conditions and exposure to weather and mosquitoes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of cleaning/maintenance experience
- Must be computer literate
- Must be CPR certified and maintain certification
- Must secure and maintain Wilderness First Aid training
- Must have reliable transportation
