Camp Host at Watauga

Campground Host position provides a quality recreational experience for visitors; responsibilities include customer service education on area rules, basic administrative tasks and fee collection, facilities and grounds maintenance (restrooms, trash, trails, sites, fire rings, grills, ashes), site grooming, litter control, coordination with staff and agencies, revenue processing using approved forms, knowledge of local points of interest and regulations, and reporting hazards. The role is often filled by two people but may be an individual role in certain locations; requires strong customer service, basic recordkeeping and money handling, effective communication, ability to work with minimal supervision, and willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; must be able to lift 20 pounds, work on rough terrain, and tow an RV where applicable.
