Job Summary
Conduct daily camp activities and manage group safety for preschool through 8th graders while supervising campers and fostering a positive environment. Collaborate with co-counselors to facilitate art, STEM, sports, and swimming programs, ensuring all ESF Core Values and character virtues are modeled daily. Report concerns to the Site Director and adhere to company policies, including maintaining the ESF uniform and completing required training. Work 35-40 hours weekly Monday to Friday, with pre-approved schedule changes and physical demands involving lifting 35 pounds and running up to one mile.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least age 17 by the start of camp
- Must be at least age 18 by the start of camp
- Complete all required ESF and state-mandated training and onboarding
- Maintain the "ESF Look" (camp uniform) and embody the spirit of the camp
- Push/pull, lift, and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds across campus
- Work outside, upright, and mobile for six (8) hours per day
- Respond to emergencies, including running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and ascending stairs without undue exertion
- Maintain clear, concise, and engaging communication with campers, families, peers, and our leadership team
- Demonstrate ESF Core Values & Code daily, from "Gratitude" to "Bring It" daily
- Model the ESF Virtues of Character (Gratitude, Respect, Trustworthiness, Effort, Kindness, Positivity, Resilience, Community) in camp daily
- Adhere to all company policies
