Job Summary

Camp Counselor needed to supervise and engage campers, maintain safety, and guide youth through daily camp activities. Responsibilities include leading age-appropriate activities (fishing, art, physical education, and Counselor-in-Training programs), resolving conflicts, supervising campers inside and outside, assisting with meals and daily camp operations, participating in staff meetings and trainings, mentoring new staff, communicating with Directors, and promoting diversity and inclusion. Must help create a safe, positive camp environment, support and model teamwork, and ensure resources are available for campers each day; CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard training may be required depending on camp location.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 16 years of age
  • 16- and 17-year-olds must have valid Working Papers
  • Minimum one-year experience working with youth preferred, preferably in an organized program setting
  • Reliable means of transportation to and from the Camp
  • Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic personality
