Job Summary
Create a fun, welcoming environment for infants by developing daily activities that support curriculum and educational objectives through play. Oversee classroom operations including scheduled projects, lesson plan implementation, décor updates, and maintaining cleanliness. Assess each child's developmental needs through ongoing observation and provide parents with updates on their child's progress during pick-up or drop-off. Collaborate with teachers, cooks, and leadership to prepare for semi-annual parent conferences while maintaining positive relationships with families. Fulfill required training hours, attend staff meetings, and ensure the classroom meets safety protocols and licensing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish
- Certificate of completion of an approved pediatric first aid and CPR training
- Ability to complete annual required trainings
- Familiarity with childcare licensing requirements, safety protocols, and best practices in early education
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, climb stairs, crawl, sit, squat, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, and twist
- Ability to carry and lift 25 pounds or less, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, run short distances, and carry and lift 25-50 pounds
- Excellent long distance and near vision to monitor children's activities both indoors and outdoors in various light conditions
- Hearing capabilities to respond to children's needs and maintain safety in a moderately noisy environment
- Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting

- Experience in early childhood education and working with infant to school age children
