Job Summary
Camp Behavior & Support Coordinator at The Salvation Army camp in Nevada City, CA. Responsible for documenting and following up on child and staff safety concerns, coordinating reporting procedures with Camp Director, DYS, and staff, and communicating with guardians when needed. Provides support for campers with behavioral, emotional, or social challenges; assists with developmentally appropriate behavior management techniques; drives campers/staff to medical facilities when necessary and collaborates with the Camp Nurse. Requires collaboration across camp leadership, understanding Protect the Mission policies, and maintaining accurate documentation and follow-up actions; requires willingness to participate in evening programs and support the total camp operation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- At Least 2 Years of experience in child development
- Background and experience in child safety
- Knowledge and Experience in The Salvation Army general policies and Protecting the Mission Policies
- Preferred previous camping experience either as a camper or as a staff member
- Must possess a valid CA Driver License
- Complete TSA driver safety course
