Job Summary
CAMO Technical Administrator in the UK DEA CAMO department providing regulatory and technical administration to ensure fleet airworthiness. Manages data entry and archiving of flight hours, cycles, and component changes in airworthiness tracking software; audits physical and digital tech logs, pilot sector records, and completed maintenance work packs to ensure regulatory compliance; creates maintenance work packs under Part-CAMO standards; maintains the technical library by distributing updates and regulatory notices; provides CAMO support to the wider DEA team. Utilises AI tools to sort data, clean up log information, and draft summaries, ensuring the DCAM receives clean, reliable data to optimise fleet maintenance efficiency. Essential duties include data entry, auditing, work-pack creation, regulatory liaison, and cross-team coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Regulation. A basic understanding of UK Aviation Regulation in the context of Aircraft Maintenance (Part-CAMO and Part-145).
- Willingness to Learn: An openness to exploring and mastering new software, aviation regulations, aircraft systems and digital tools to enhance departmental efficiency in a fast growing company.
- Strong Administrative Capability: An ability to work in a technical but administrative role where accuracy, organisation, and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure are critical.
- Comfortable with Spreadsheets: Competence in Excel or Google Sheets, specifically regarding sorting data, filtering, using basic formulas, and maintaining structured sheets.
- Tech-Savvy Approach: Comfort using exploring everyday digital tools and AI applications to solve problems, reformat unarranged text, or accelerate routine tasks.
- Eye for Detail: High precision in data entry, with a natural ability to spot typographical errors, data discrepancies, or missing signatures.
- Professional Communication: Clear, concise oral and written communication skills suitable for drafting reports and interacting professionally with engineers, pilots, and managers.
