Job Summary
Conduct systems design activities at the Missile level for the CAMM Family, including bid strategy development and coordination of multiple sub-system stakeholders to deliver the Design Assurance and Certification plan. Lead technical trade studies and manage the full systems lifecycle from requirements and architecture to verification, validation, and evidence generation for product certification. Support sustainment and enhancement of customer capabilities across CAMM, CAMM-ER variants, and export contracts, ensuring system-level performance, security, and safety assurance. This role offers opportunities to lead tasks for specific contracts while working across multiple business functions within MBDA's Missile Design UK.
Required Qualifications
- British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
- HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)
- An appreciation of the Systems Engineering lifecycle
- Proven experience in formal verification and certification processes
- Experience in system engineering, especially in the areas of Requirements management and Use Case analysis
- Experience in system engineering, especially in the areas of System architecture design, justification and traceability
- Experience in system engineering, especially in the areas of Interface definition
- Experience in system engineering, especially in the areas of Design assurance and verification planning
- Experience in system engineering, especially in the areas of Certification
- Proficient Rational DOORS user
- Ability to create and manage requirement modules as well as associated requirement verification modules
- Ability to work within formal change processes
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Capability to write clear, concise engineering documentation
- Good verbal communication skills

- Experience in leading the development of technology that covers the entire design lifecycle

- Experience in leading the tasks for a particular contract
- Experience in Obsolescence phase 1
- Experience in Obsolescence phase 2
- Experience in Export Contracts
- Experience in conducting engineering activities for CAMM family products
- Experience in leading the bid strategy for Systems dependent on experience
- Experience in successfully leading the systems design and technical trade studies
- Experience in coordinating multiple sub-system stakeholders to deliver the Design Assurance and Certification plan
