Job Summary
Generate CAM programs for manufacturing environments by creating CAD/CAM programs for turret punch/press machines using Inventor and Auto CAD files. Program sheet metal parts for Amada and Trump turret presses while reviewing project packets for completeness. Prepare Art, Die, Fabrication, and Submittal drawings, along with full-size paper templates for manufacturing and customer use. Handle incoming department inquiries and answer questions from internal and external customers as required. Develop and maintain Engineering Drafting Standards while recommending solutions to improve programming time.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with Architectural and Engineering Drawings
- Experience with any 3D Modeling Software
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor / Product Design Suite
- Experience with any RADAN, CAM software used for sheet metal punching
- Experience with AutoDesk VAULT
- Experience with Turret Press Operations
- Program sheet metal parts to be run on Amada & Trump turret presses
- Create CAD/CAM Programs for turret punch/press machines, using Inventor and/or Auto CAD DWG and DXF Files
- Handle incoming CAM Department inquiries
- Review project packets for completeness
- Prepare Art, Die, Fabrication, and Submittal types of drawings
- Prepare full size paper templates for manufacturing and customer use
- Help develop and maintain Engineering Drafting Standards
- Develop and recommend solutions to improve programming time run time
- Strong Attention to Detail skills
- Be able to effectively communicate with Production Staff, Engineers, Sales Staff, Architects, and Installing Contractors
