Job Summary
The Call Center Scheduler greets patients on the phone and responds to inquiries to ensure timely access to MarinHealth services. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, interpreting and applying relevant insurance information when scheduling, using EMR/EHR systems, and handling patient communications with accuracy and courtesy. The role requires strong verbal and written communication, organization to juggle multiple tasks in a busy clinical environment, proficiency with office equipment, and a customer-service mindset aligned with CARES standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
- Experience: One year experience in providing customer service either via phone or in person focused on patient care; electronic medical records experience preferred.
- Basic computer/keyboard knowledge.
- Ability to type 60 wpm.
