Utilize the EMR system, ensure accurate patient information and billing, answer questions from patients, communicate with providers, and maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality customer service. Requires knowledge of ICD-9/CPT coding, billing practices, and insurance procedures; involves interacting with staff, patients, and visitors in an office setting.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Three to five years of related call center or front office medical experience
  • In-depth knowledge of medical office practices and billing procedures
  • Broad understanding of ICD-9 and CPT coding practices
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software
  • Broad understanding of insurance practices and procedures
  • Broad understanding of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of patient registration, patient billing, and EMR systems
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
