Job Summary
Bi-Lingual Call Center Representative for Open Door Family Medical Centers in Westchester and Putnam counties, based in Ossining, NY with a hybrid schedule following training. Provide superior customer service to patients, providers, and colleagues; accurately answer incoming calls and patient portal inquiries; serve as a liaison between care providers and patients to ensure access to medical services and medications; document communications in electronic records; prioritize patient needs with providers; follow communication procedures using appointment, telephone, or overhead channels; respond to emergencies and maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines; participate in community outreach and represent Open Door in local efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish with written and verbal fluency in both languages.
- High School Degree required. College credits, Associates Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1+ years experience as a call center representative.
- Medical office experience is preferred
- Proficient in computer use and experience with MS Office applications, including Excel.
- Customer service experience required. Experience with community and health organizations preferred.
- Excellent telephone manners required.
- Enjoys working in a team based environment
- Responsive and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work well with both external and internal customers, exhibiting empathy and excellent communications skills in the written and verbal exchanges.
- Ability to function well in a culturally sensitive manner within this organization’s philosophy and mission
