Call Center Representative

Job Summary
Answer incoming telephone calls, eCW messages, and Patient Portal inquiries for Open Door Family Medical Center patients and providers. Serve as a liaison to ensure timely access to medical, dental, and behavioral health services by prioritizing needs based on provider availability. Document all patient communications and actions in electronic records while responding to emergency calls per established procedures. Maintain strict patient confidentiality adhering to HIPAA guidelines and demonstrate the ability to request supervisor support when necessary. Represent the organization in community outreach activities and participate in special customer service projects. This role requires bilingual English/Spanish fluency, a high school degree, and at least one year of call center experience. Required Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish with written and verbal fluency in both languages
- High School Degree
- At least 1+ years experience as a call center representative
- Proficient in computer use and experience with MS Office applications, including Excel
- Customer service experience
- Excellent telephone manners
- Ability to work well with both external and internal customers, exhibiting empathy and excellent communications skills in the written and verbal exchanges
- Ability to function well in a culturally sensitive manner within this organization's philosophy and mission
- Passionate about providing high quality care to low income, under-served residents and those lacking access to health care
