Job Summary
Answer calls, complete phone intakes, and handle medical service requests for New Oakland Family Centers, including verifying Medicaid insurance, processing medication refills, and managing prior authorizations. Assist with scheduling and rescheduling appointments across all locations, provide pre-visit instructions, and relay provider directions to consumers and staff. Perform data entry into the tri-county dispatch system and coordinate between emergency departments, hospitals, schools, and ICS services. Maintain HIPAA-compliant communications during extended stationary periods while adhering to organizational protocols and participating in team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in using computers, phones, and office equipment for documentation and telehealth purposes
- Proficiency in using Office 365
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform physical activities such as bending and reaching
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Ability to minimize noise and distractions in the workspace
