Job Summary
Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding appointments, services, and treatment options while providing information on dental procedures, insurance coverage, and office policies. Contact patients to confirm upcoming appointments, remind them of follow-up visits, and follow up on treatment plans, billing, or pending documentation. Assist with basic insurance questions and direct complex billing issues to the billing department. Update patient records, verify insurance details, and manage general office duties such as sending reminders and maintaining communication logs. Exhibit patience and professionalism while handling a high volume of calls. Weekend or evening hours may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism
- Proficient in scheduling software and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email systems)
Desired Qualifications
- additional certifications in customer service or healthcare administration
- Previous experience in a call center, healthcare setting, or customer service role
- Experience with dental or medical software (such as Dentrix or similar)
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes
