Job Summary
Contact customers via phone and email regarding overdue accounts to discuss balances and payment options. Work with clients to establish realistic repayment plans or settlements, then monitor and follow up on missed payments or broken promises. Update customer records, payment statuses, and notes in the system accurately and promptly while ensuring all collection activities comply with regulatory standards and company policies. Maintain detailed records of all interactions and consistently meet or exceed daily and monthly collection targets. This role requires bilingual English and Spanish skills and a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic under pressure
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
- Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with debt collection laws and best practices
- Previous experience in collections, customer service, or call center environments
