Job Summary
Manage a rapid flow of incoming telephone calls from Medcor customers in a remote 24/7 Occupational Health triage call center, documenting each call efficiently and accurately. Complete accurate assessment of symptoms and concerns utilizing Medcor's Triage Algorithms while following propriety algorithms to guide the triage of injured workers. Monitor and track individual as well as call center goals, productivity metrics, and statistics, and reflect all shift activities using the phone system. Provide superior customer service to Medcor's clients and employees while adhering to HIPAA Compliance Policies. This role requires full-time bilingual Spanish/English skills and a valid RN license. Shifts are 8-hour or 10-hour blocks between 12:00pm and 2:00am, including every-other-weekend and holiday rotations. Successful completion of a 6-week training program is mandatory before transitioning to the permanent schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual, fluent in both the English and Spanish language
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS (CPR) certification
- Ability to handle a high volume of consecutive calls
- Strong technological skills
- Typing speed of at least 30 WPM
- Ability to work a major U.S. holiday rotation
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret triage tools and information along with care instructions to injured employees and their managers
- Ability to talk and/or hear
- Ability to sit and use hands
- Close vision for computers and written work with the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work on a computer for long periods
- Ability to receive and apply feedback
- Private space in your home with 4 walls and a door for patient privacy
- Access to high-speed internet (no satellite) within your primary residence
