Job Summary
Call Center Associate handles caller greetings, identifies reasons for calls, and assists with scheduling, rescheduling, or cancelling appointments for Adult Medicine. Follows HIPAA and clinical protocols to protect information, routes complex questions to appropriate staff, and takes messages as needed. Responsibilities include opening the switchboard each morning, monitoring messages, and using overhead paging when required. Requires bilingual ability in English and Portuguese or Spanish, strong customer service skills, and education of a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience as a medical secretary or medical assistant is a plus; 2-4 years of receptionist experience in a relevant field is commonly expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years call center or customer service experience
- 2-4 years experience as a receptionist in a relevant field
- Bilingual in English and Portuguese or Spanish is required
- Strong customer service skills
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required
