Job Summary
Call Center Agent role supporting Harbor Health Services with patient access via high-volume calls. Per Diem, hybrid with onsite at Geiger Gibson Community Health Center in Dorchester (preferred) and potential remote hours. Responsibilities include screening and processing calls, confirming appointments, pre-registration data entry, utilizing EMR to communicate with clinical teams, and escalating as needed. Requirements include a High school diploma/GED, 1 year in a health center or similar call center environment, strong customer service and communication skills, basic Microsoft Office proficiency, and bilingual capabilities preferred (English+Spanish or other). Must be able to work rotating shifts including weekdays, weekends and holidays. Per diem/on-call arrangement is noted. Salary hint: USD 19.50 - 25.58 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 1 year of experience in a community health center and/or a professional or business environment, previous Call Center experience desired
- Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Computer literate, basic competency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
- Bilingual; English/Spanish, English/Vietnamese or English/Brazilian Portuguese preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts as needed (AM, PM, weekends and holidays)
