Job Summary
Part-Time Chaplain in Orange County, CA. Responsibilities include providing pastoral care to company employees and their immediate families, making regular visits to worksites, offering confidential pastoral counseling for personal issues, assisting with funerals and grief support, coordinating referrals for specialized assistance, and representing the company’s Employee Care ministry in interactions with employees and families. Requires a Christian faith, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work within an interdisciplinary team, and capacity to manage sensitive situations with confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Active state driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance (state(s) where servicing clients)
- Ability to work as member of interdisciplinary group and in an interfaith setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate and interact effectively with leadership, colleagues, employees, and families
- Skills to effectively listen and interact with clients, employees, and their families
- Skills to deliver community presentations
- Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and to organization’s ministry values
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy with diverse groups; ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships while providing exceptional customer service
- Demonstrated ability to cope with stressful situations and to document accurately according to standards
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information to define and follow up on problems or objectives; ability to identify solutions and solve problems
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or other software; ability to learn new technology programs
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Attests to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and actively participates in a biblically based church
