Job Summary
Learn fundamental calibration skills and techniques to perform calibrations independently in electrical, dimensional, pressure, and temperature disciplines. Work with lab technicians to identify appropriate measurement techniques and maintain calibration standards while fulfilling duties safely under company requirements. Deliver on Transcat's Quality Policy (QAC-F01-001) either in a laboratory setting or while supervised at a customer on-site. Travel 25-50% of the work schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
- Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
- Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team
- 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driver history
- Associates degree from college or technical school
- At least one (1) year related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in electronics or machining
- Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Organizational and time management skills
- Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics
