Calibration Technician -Scottsdale

Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and calibrate physical/dimensional and basic electronics test measurement and diagnostic equipment using micrometers, calipers, and other common instruments. Capture test readings, review standards and specifications to develop calibration templates and procedures, and ensure compliance with ISO 17025 quality system standards. Operate under close supervision while learning proper techniques, theory, and application to progress toward independent productivity. Provide high-level customer service by relaying information to clients and management with professionalism. Perform cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment, effectively communicate across departments, and complete other duties as requested by the calibration lab manager.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in all technical areas
- Ability to operate under close supervision
- Ability to capture test readings using common instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to review standards and specifications to develop calibration templates, procedures, and set guidelines for approval through QA
- Understanding of the operation and use of the equipment being serviced
- Understanding of the Quality System and the ISO 17025 standard
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees in all departments
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to occasionally sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to frequently lift or move heavy instruments, up to 50 pounds, short distances
