Job Summary
Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment while troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning instrumentation and control systems. Document calibration procedures, results, and equipment history accurately, adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO and GMP. Maintain calibration standards and test equipment in proper working order, collaborating with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime. Requires an associate's degree in a technical field and 2+ years of experience in calibration or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using and troubleshooting a wide range of test and measurement equipment is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, metrology, mechanical engineering technology)
- 2+ years of experience in calibration or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of measurement principles, calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1), and metrology concepts
- Proficiency in using and troubleshooting a wide range of test and measurement equipment (e.g., DMMs, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, torque wrenches, calipers)
- Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and calibration procedures
- Experience with calibration management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Desired Qualifications
- IPC-7711/7721 or J-STD-001 certification
- Experience with vision systems or optical measurement equipment
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
- PLC programming or troubleshooting experience
