Calibration Technician

Job Summary
Perform tests and calibrations on electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic instruments while setting up lab equipment to evaluate and calibrate other gages and test tools. Disassemble units, inspect for defects, measure parts to spec, and reassemble, then align, repair, replace, balance, and calibrate components and circuitry to applicable MIL standards. Maintain traceability records, gage usage history, and inventory; issue recall/nonconformance notifications as needed. Start by reviewing the day's calibration workload and verifying standards and documentation, then move between benches keeping tools organized and records current. Throughout the day follow established procedures, work safely around mechanical and electrical equipment, and coordinate with users when items are due back or flagged.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED plus 1–3 years related experience (or equivalent)
- Computer literate
- able to learn test fluids
- Ability to follow QAM/QAP/QEI-021 and applicable MIL-STD/FED-STD/ASTM requirements
