Job Summary

Conduct tests, calibrations, verifications, and limited repairs of general purpose TMDE using measurement standards, U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, manufacturer, and local calibration procedures. Monitor laboratory temperature and humidity, maintain current knowledge of calibration methods, and assist with training laboratory personnel and TMDE coordinators. Perform quality assurance audits, intermediate checks, and end item inspections per U.S. Army guidance while using Army ICE, Fluke MetCal, and Northrop Grumman SureCAL automated programs to verify TMDE. Prepare calibration and correction charts via computer software, submit changes to procedures, and execute production control procedures. Comply with USATA QA audit requirements, local physical security rules, and occasional non-duty hours or weekend work as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, including military training
  • Two (2) or more years of calibration experience in a private, commercial, or military calibration laboratory
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
