Job Summary
Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment while troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning calibration systems. Document results accurately, develop procedures for new and existing gear, and analyze data to recommend improvements. Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and internal procedures. Requires an associate's degree or equivalent experience, two-plus years in a manufacturing environment, and proficiency with metrology principles and calibration software. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, metrology, mechanical engineering technology) or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience performing calibration, maintenance, or repair of test and measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, schematics, and calibration procedures
- Strong understanding of metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI Z540)
- Experience with various types of calibration equipment, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, pressure, and temperature standards
- Ability to use and troubleshoot calibration software and automated calibration systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with automated calibration systems
- ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to interpret and apply advanced metrology concepts
- Experience with Gage Management software (e.g., IndySoft, GAGEtrak)
